In nuclear power plants, it is required to dramatically reduce cost, shorten the working schedule, reduce the piping volume and maintain the piping reliability.To achive those goals, Hitachi has developed the automatic design system for piping, air conditioning duct and cable tray using artificial intelligence. This system can automatically design piping, air conditioning ducts, and cable trays with low cost at high speed. This system is also aimed to reduce issues due to noise, vibration, thermal stress, wall thinning, two-phase instability and so on. We will make a series presentation, but in this presentation, we will report on the development goals, outlines and so on of the automatic design system.
