[1I_PL01] Overview of the current status of the interim storage and development of volumetric reducing treatment method for removed soil and wastes
In this session, a progress of investigation on the treatment and disposal of the removed soil and wastes by the Society for Remediation of Radioactive Contamination in Environment is shared, then some issues on the technical options of volume reduction and stabilization and on the viewpoint of societal aspects with stakeholder engagement for decision-making in the management of the removed soil and wastes are provided. Panelists will discuss direction of future technical investigation with experts in the field of the back-end nuclear fuel cycle and environment.
