SiC/SiC composites are desirable materials to secure a nuclear safety in future, and their compatibilities with coolant and irradiation stabilities under the neutron irradiation environments are important issues. Present study introduces the silicon dissolution behavior into coolant during the operation and morphology modifications of SiC/SiC composites and their joints.
