[2B02] Criticality safety analysis of fuel debris by Japan-Russia international joint study
Keywords:Criticality safety, Fuel debris, Monte Carlo calculation, Fukushima Daiichi NPS accident, Japan-Russia international joint study
The Japan-Russia Nuclear Joint Study Project “Improvement to critical safety technology for Fukushima-Daiichi NPS decommissioning” has been performed by Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo City University, and National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI). The joint study project aimed to improve the criticality safety technology in Fukushima Daiichi NPS decommissioning. In the study, the criticality analyses for fuel debris particles in water were performed by using neutron transport Monte Carlo codes and nuclear data libraries in Japan and in Russia. The knowledge about the accuracy was obtained by the comparison of the calculation results.
