In nuclear engineering, the application of numerical simulation of solid liquid flow is expected for the purpose of investigating phenomena in severe accidents and smoothly implementing decommissioning. In this study, in order to perform numerical simulation of solid-liquid multiphase flow in a large-scale system, the latest DEM-CFD method called FELMI was used to simulate the behavior of fluid and medium particles in a bead mill. In this calculation, the effect of introducing the coarse-grained model and the refined grid was examined. The spatial arrangement and velocity of the medium particles were in good agreement with the original system, and it has been shown that accurate simulation can be performed in a short time by using the coarse-grained model and the refined grid model together.
