[2D11] Time-of-Flight Compton Imaging System
キーワード:Compton imaging, Time-of-Flight, Coincidence resolving time
In nuclear imaging, the technique of Time-of-Flight (TOF) has been widely used in areas such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET). This technique can also be applied to other imaging systems such as Compton imaging. In a sphere layout of Compton cameras that aims for 4π imaging, the TOF information helps to determine the order of interaction, and thus improve the image quality. In a 3-D Compton camera system for radioactive nuclides with cascade decay, the application of TOF information and coincidence imaging greatly improves image quality. In our lab, we have developed a system with fast scintillator, photosensor and data acquisition system. The coincidence resolving time (CRT) is as good as 400 ps.
