[2F_PL02] Continuous improvements of safety from the viewpoint of regulator
The accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) revealed and reaffirmed the importance of incorporating the latest knowledge and continuously improving safety. In the 10 years since the accident, "continuous safety improvement" has been used as a watchword by operators and regulators, but to what extent has the significance of continuous safety improvement been understood and shared by various stakeholders? This session will rethink the concept of continuous safety improvement from the perspective of various stakeholders and will discuss the direction for effective safety improvements in the future.
