[2G07] Online workshop using Kindai University Reactor remote training system

Kindai University's reactor is a precious educational resource for nuclear sience and engineering in Japan, but the opportunities for educational use of the reactor are being restricted due to the inability to secure travel expenses for students participating in training workshops as well as the recent tightening of nuclear regulations. In order to solve these problems, we have developed a reactor remote training system utilizing a video conferencing system. In this system, reactor operating parameters and signals from nuclear instrumentations are extracted from the reactor control console and displayed on a virtual console built on a computer. The screen of this virtual console is shared with a PC in a remote classroom through a video conferencing system. In this presentation, we will report on the outline of the reactor remote training system and the results of the actual remote training performed recently.
