We have developed a technique to sterilize Salmonella on the surface of hens' eggshells by low-energy electron beams (LEEB). The dose of LEEB was lack of the uniformity in case 3D objects like a shell egg. Low energy electron beam to the eggshell surface dose was lack of uniformity. Therefore, the aim of this study was to uniform irradiation of electron beam on the surface of the eggshell. we dsigned a slit to reduce the electron beam dose. The diameter, spacing and material of the slit were verified by simulation and experiment. As a result, it was found that the dose to the surface of the eggshell of a chicken egg, which is an example of a target three-dimensional object, could be uniformly reduced by making appropriate slits, and that the edible part of the egg could be kept below 0.10 Gy.
