The fast neutron-induced soft-errors in semiconductor memories are becoming troubles for our society. Estimating the neutron soft-error rate in various neutron environments is an indispensable first step for solving this problem. As one of the neutron environments, we measured the soft-error rates at the neutron field of the 18 MeV proton cyclotron-driven neutron source. Besides, we examined how much it could be reproduced by a calculation of the soft-error rates using the soft-error cross-sections of FPGAs from 0.65 MeV to 800 MeV already measured by our group and the neutron energy spectra of the neutron fields obtained by particle transport simulation calculations.
