This paper describes a methodology and case study results of balanced risk profile against seismic motion. Achievement of balanced risk profile is an important position to secure the nuclear safety in terms of Defence-in- Depth considering a large uncertainty of natural external hazard. Proposed methodology is developed based on the fault tree analysis which is utilized in a system analysis in PRA (Probabilistic Risk Assessment).
