Analysis of literature data on irradiated fuels

In order to evaluate the long-term behavior of fuel debris, a program package was prepared. The package enables the estimation of energy deposition in aqueous solution by alpha, beta and gamma rays from the fuel materials in complex geometries, and analyze the aqueous radiolysis and the electrochemical reactions at the surface of fuel materials. By comparing the analysis with the literature data on the irradiated fuel fragments immersed in aqueous solutions, the effects of parameters on the homogeneous and surface catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide were examined.
