Zeolite column tests were conducted using simulating spent salt containing various kinds of FP elements, i.e., cesium, strontium, and cerium, or cesium and strontium. Zeolite samples taken from the columns after the experiments showed some of the FP elements in the salt were absorbed by the columns. Furthermore, comparison between the experimental result and calculation result based on a mass transfer model and rate constants obtained by zeolite immersion tests in LiCl-KCl-CeCl3 melt was conducted for cerium.
