[3M08] Simplifying the Method of Measuring Radioactive Particles with Imaging Plate

*NAOKI NOMURA1 (1. Fukui University of Tecnology)

Keywords:imaging plate, radioactive particle

Analysis of the particles containing high concentrations of radioactive cesium released by the Fukushima accident is underway. The analysis method of the particles currently reported requires cumbersome pretreatment, which can be a bottleneck in the analysis of many samples. In this study, we have investigated a preprocessing-free analysis method using an imaging plate (IP). Specifically, a method for determining the distance between the particles and IP, which is one of the parameters affecting IP measurements results(PSL), from the distribution of PSL values obtained from the IP measurements was developed, and the feasibility of a new analysis method that does not require pretreatment was demonstrated.
