The Japan Atomic Energy Agency developed a Short-Term Emergency Assessment system of Marine Environmental Radioactivity (STEAMER) based on an oceanic dispersion model. STEAMER predicts the oceanic dispersion of radioactive materials. In this study, we analyzed the characteristics and trends of oceanic dispersal of 137Cs by performing the oceanic dispersion simulations using past oceanographic data received on STEAMER.
