[1C16] Development of failure mitigation technologies for improving resilience of nuclear structures

(13)Study on buckling and post-buckling behavior of beams for failure consequence mitigation under excessive seismic loads

Keywords:Buckling, Post-buckling behavior, Seismic load, Vibration load, Shaking test, FEM analysis, Failure consequence mitigation

Buckling may be occurred on thin wall vessels under excessive seismic loads. It is valuable for failure consequence mitigation to clarify post-buckling behavior. In order to clarify buckling and post-buckling behavior, authors conducted shaking tests and FEM vibration analyses on a beam which is a fundamental structure member.
