Keywords:severe accident of a nuclear reactor, Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (1F), MPS method, criticality evaluation, levitation method

In-depth pedestal debris status of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (1F) Unit-2 and Unit-3 are being investigated through multi-physics modeling of thermal-hydraulics (particle method, and simulant experiment), criticality evaluation, and high temperature melt property evaluations, which have been designed by referring to the latest understanding of the accident progressions and internal investigations. This presentation gives summary of the 3-year project with the latest understanding. The details of each work are given as part of the series in the following presentations.
