For predicting the fuel debris distribution in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants (1F NPPs), it is necessary to figure out the solidification behavior of the molten metal in water. In this paper, the MPH-LES method is introduced and the results were compared with the experiments. The solidification and accumulation behavior of the metal seen in the experiments were capable to be reproduced by introducing the turbulence model.
