[1I17] Application of Laser Spot Heating Method to Measurement of Nitrides Melting Temperature

We have developed and demonstrated the measurement system by laser spot heating and radiance analysis in order to evaluate the liquefaction (thermal decomposition and melting) temperature of MA-bearing nitride fuel. This report shows the result of measurement on surrogate nitride fuel which is solid solution of ZrN and lanthanide nitride.
