"Chemical pumping operation" using harmless anions (MoO42- , WO42-, etc.) is proposed as a practical crevice environment purification method to prevent crevice corrosion.
In this presentation, the enhancement of Cl- emission from the crevice, one of the effects of this method, was evaluated experimentally and numerically. The results showed that the Cl- emission rate was greater than that of diluting the crevice environment using only pure water.
