In order to investigate effects of radiolytic species produced by gas-phase radiolysis on the generation of oxidants produced by liquid-phase radiolysis, gamma-ray irradiation to gas-liquid two-phase samples was carried out. During irradiation, the liquid phase of samples was shielded by lead blocks to suppress liquid-phase radiolysis as low as possible. After irradiation, concentrations of nitrogen oxides derived from the gas-phase radiolysis and hydrogen peroxide derived from the liquid-phase radiolysis were measured. In this paper, some findings, such as the suppression of the production of nitrogen oxides in well-deoxidized samples, will be presented.
