汚泥廃棄物の減容につながる返送式凝集沈殿法を用いて炭酸塩スラリーを作製し、ガンマ線照射で生成する気泡の保持特性を検討した。分割可能な多段式円筒容器にスラリーを充填し、気泡保持に伴うスラリー密度の低下から高さ方向の気泡分布を求めた結果、下部よりも上部のスラリーに気泡が多く保持される傾向が認められた。
