[2A12] Study of fission dynamics using five-dimensional Cassini parameters in actinide region

*Kazuki Okada1, Takahiro Wada1 (1. Kansai Univ.)

Keywords:fission dynamics, Langevin equation, nuclear data, Cassini shape parameterization

We adopt the Cassini shape parameterization which can describe various shapes in the fission process. Our previous studies suggest that the four deformation degrees of freedom are important for description of the asymmetric fission of actinide nuclei: elongation, mass asymmetry, shape asymmetry, and quadrupole deformation of fragments. Furthermore, octupole deformation of fragments is essential to describe the symmetric fission. In this study, we treat these five degrees of freedom using the five-dimensional Langevin equation. We calculate the mass and kinetic energy distributions of the fragments and compare them with experimental data.
