[2C09] Evaluation of the gamma-ray CT image resolution by LCS gamma-ray beam in UVSOR-III
Keywords:Computed tomography (CT), laser Compton scattering (LCS) gamma-ray, non-destructive inspection (NDI)
We measured a three-dimensional computed tomography (CT) gamma ray image with a pixel resolution of 1 mm using the laser Compton Scattering (LCS) gamma-ray beam available at the beamline BL1U in the UVSOR-III facility for a sample contains a set of different concealed materials. The LCS gamma-ray beam had a 1 mm beam size at the lead collimator and a flux density of 0.7 photons/s/eV at a maximum energy of 5,528 MeV with 1.1% energy bandwidth in FWHM. We evaluate the gamma-CT image resolution from the current experimental set-up in the UVSOR-III facility. The influence on the obtained image resolution of the LCS beam divergence, scattering gamma-rays from collimator, and so on will be presented.
