Keywords:multigroup Monte-Carlo method, even-parity discontinuity factor, weight cancellation, KAIST-2A benchmark problem

The multigroup Monte-Carlo method using regionwise even-parity discontinuity factor (DF-MC) is verified by eigenvalue calculations. Because some neutrons have negative weights in this method, the weight cancellation is performed during the normalization of the fission source distribution to cancel the positive and negative weights, resulting in numerical stability. The verification calculations in the homogeneous pin-cell and homogeneous assembly geometry of the KAIST-2A benchmark problem show that the DF-MC method agrees well with the reference by the MOC.
