The Simplified-P3 perturbation (SP3P) method for fast reactor reactivity analysis is implemented into CBZ, and its verification has been finished. Although the net reactivity given by SP3P method is correct, difficulty on categorizing scattering component reactivity is caused by a physical meaning unknown term. Through tracing the source of this term in P3 equations we confirmed that the general used form of SP3 equations is not appropriate to combine with the perturbation theory for reactivity analysis. Therefore, we propose to use a straight forward form of SP3 equations, original-SP3 (OSP3), to combine with perturbation theory (OSP3P) of which each term has clear physical meaning. The verification of the OSP3P method gives identical net reactivity result as SP3P does. The numerical result indicates that physical meaning unknown term is scattering component reactivity.
