The neutron flux distribution in the exponential experiment satisfies the gamma eigenvalue equation. The adjoint function of the equation is found to be proportional to the amplitude of neutron flux formed by a neutron source placed at the phase space position where they want to estimate the function. We calculate the adjoint flux of the gamma eigenvalue equation by the diffusion method with 3-energy groups reactor constants. With the same constants, we solved the fixed source problem and calculated the neutron flux axially distant from the source. We confirmed the proportional relation between the calculated adjoint flux and the amplitude of the neutron flux.
