[2E05] Analysis of Reactivity Insertion Tests of MSRE using RELAP5-3D

The neutronics and thermal-hydraulics coupling model of the system code RELAP5-3D to be used for the safety evaluation analysis of the molten salt reactor was validated using the results of the reactivity insertion experiment during the various power operation performed at MSRE. The analysis results were in good agreement with all the experimental results, and it became clear that similar results could be obtained without analyzing the neutronics using a more advanced method.
