Research and development of elemental technologies have been conducted for the purpose of the practical application of the simplified pelletizing fuel fabrication technology in fast reactor fuel fabrication. In this paper, as the first of a series of presentations, we introduce the progress of the development of elemental technologies and report on the research and development contributing to the advancement of the microwave heating denitration method in the development of the unified technology of denitration, conversion, and granulation.
