[2I12] Development of Facile Recovery Method of Nuclear Fuel Materials in Carbonate-Based Reprocessing Using Photochemical Reactivity of UO₂²⁺

To develop a principle of simple separation and recovery of uranium in the carbonate reprocessing, a carbonate aqueous solution dissolving UO₂²⁺ and a selected reducing agent was irradiated with UV light. As a result, UO₂²⁺ was photochemically reduced to efficiently afford black precipitate of U^IVO₂.
