[3C02] Remote Laser Heating Experiments using a 10kW Fiber Laser and its Robot System (Part2)
Keywords:Laser Heating, FBG Sensor, Fiber Laser, Remote Technology, Thermal Storage Plant
We will introduce an example of utilizing the laser processing system of the Tsuruga Research and Development Center, which is provided to the outside as JAEA's open facility platform. The robot system equipped with a 10kW fiber laser and a laser scanner can be used in various applications such as heating, welding, evaporation, cutting, and surface modification by combining laser focusing intensity and gas jet in the laser processing field. By utilizing molten salt and low melting point metal as heat storage materials, it is required to level the fluctuation of renewable energy. In this presentation, we will introduce an example of using the laser and robot system shown in the development of the heat-resistant pressure gauge. In addition, by accumulating thermal strain due to laser remote heating, remote and non-contact metal processing is possible. This case is also introduced.
