[3C09] Present Status of Linear IFMIF Prototype Accelerator (LIPAc)
(1)Progress of Phase-B+ commissioning
Keywords:Proton/Deuteron Accelerator, high-current CW, RFQ, Neutron source
The Linear IFMIF Prototype Accelerator (LIPAc), is being demonstrated in Rokkasho, Japan, in the Broader Approach (BA) agreement between Japan and EU. The LIPAc aims to accelerate 125 mA deuteron beams up to 9 MeV in CW, and has already achieved acceleration of 125 mA deuteron short-pulse beam by Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) in July 2019. After that, the installation of additional beam transport lines and high-power beam dump was completed, and the long-pulse acceleration test, Phase-B+ commissioning, which started in July 2021, is now in-progress. The latest results of the Phase-B+ commissioning will be reported.
