(2)Particle Simulations of Multipactering in RF Coupler

Particle simulations of multipactering in the coaxial RF coupler (175 MHz, <200 kW) for the LIPAc RFQ have been carried out in order to understand an observed temperature rise and to plan a countermeasure against it. As the result it is numerically found that growth of electron current due to multipactering between the inner and outer conductors of the coax. shows resonant behavior on one hand, while on the other hand that between the ceramic RF window and the inner conductor is less dependent on the input RF power, the latter of which is eventually found consistent with the observed tendency.
