Keywords:decommissioning, Storage canister, catalyst

Objectives and methods
When fuel debris is stored in storage canister, the water contained in the debris is decomposed by radiation and hydrogen is generated. The catalyst uses to control the hydrogen concentration in the tube was considered. The purpose of this research is to clarify the conditions under which hydrogen can be processed efficiently by arrangement catalysts in the expected situation.
Conclusion
When a catalyst was in the canister, it was found that the hydrogen concentration could be maintained below 1.0%.
