In 3 M HNO3 aq, uranyl ion reacted with racemate and (1R,2R) form of bis(2-pyrrolidone) derivative with trans-1,2-cyclohexylene linker moiety. As a result, trans- and cis-forms of UO2(NO3)2 were obtained in the former and the latter cases, respectively.
