Town center of nuclear disaster area, where evacuation order is gradually lifted, is under recovery process. Loss in population and essential function of town, and other physical and social change caused by disaster, made change of the meaning of ‘town center’. This study focuses on small town center of nuclear disaster area, as ‘place for communication’. From survey of location, space, and how it is used about some community space in town center, there is possibility that community space contributed to emphasize activity in the town nobody lived, make community with who come to the town, and make opportunity for various people to participate to community, even emigrants from other area, or young people.
