In recent years, the compact city policy formulated by each local government has focused on maintaining and guiding urban functions necessary for residential guidance. In this study, we focused on grocery stores, which are an essential part of urban functions, and analyzed the location trends of grocery stores, such as the state of withdrawal, focusing on their age and building structure. The results showed that many grocery stores were built before 2000 and that they were aging. In addition, most of the food stores that have been closed for more than 27 to 34 years have been dismantled and converted to other uses, such as residential land. In addition, it was also indicated that the number of newly established grocery stores was smaller in the urban function guide area, and that the runoff to the suburb was remarkable.
