-Considering institutional backing of workplaces-
Keywords:COVID-19, behavior change, remote working, business activities
With COVID-19, the shift of activities online, which had been developing gradually in recent years, has expanded and accelerated rapidly. Remote work has become generalized. Existing reports have described that the institutionalization of remote work at the workplace has a strong effect on its implementation. Assuming that the range of companies and industries which accommodate remote work will expand in the future, one must examine the effects of reducing institutional restrictions on further online shifts. For this study, we used an original questionnaire survey to analyze the factors of online shift caused by COVID-19 in work activities. Results suggest that, in addition to personal attributes, factors such as evaluating the productivity of remote work and the perception of subjective residential characteristics influence the expansion of the online shift.
