[48] Analysis of Factors Affecting Variation Patterns of Bus Route Search Records
Keywords:Route-Search System, Non-Hierarchical Cluster Analysis, Decision Tree Analysis
In the route-search systems, user travel details such as the point of origin, destination, and journey duration are recorded as log data. Although previous studies analyze the average value and the periodic variation for route-search records, the long-term search trends haven’t been clarified. This study focuses on the long-term variation and analyzes factors that affect the long-term search trends based on their relationship between bus route search records and characteristics around the bus routes. This study uses the log data of “BUSNET,” a route-search system in Tottori prefecture, Japan. The route’s characteristics around bus stops are expressed by using the population and facility-location data. Bus routes were classified based on the variation of route search records. Subsequently, this study analyzed factors affecting the route search variation of each bus route group.
