[50] Actual conditions of Urban Function Induction-encouraged Area based on trip concentration
- Emphasis on transportation mode and destination facilities –
Keywords:Location Normalization Plan, UFIA, Tokyo Person Trip Survey, traffic behavior
Location Normalization Plans (LNPs) have been formulated to promote urban development in many cities of Japan, particularly addressing "Compact + Network". In an LNP, it is generally expected that public transportation and walking will be used to access each facility in the Urban Function Induction-encouraged Area (UFIA). For this study, we used the results of the sixth Tokyo Person Trip Survey to understand the characteristics of actual trips distributed inside and outside the UFIA. Results show that the concentrations of walking trips vary depending on the UFIA, although car trips to some spots are concentrated outside the UFIA.
