[82] Validity of Unified Management of Lakeside Reed Land Groups in Omi-hachiman

This study aims to clarify possibility of introducing a unified management system to consolidate the workload and
capacity of reed-land conservation groups in Omi-hachiman selected as Important Cultural Landscapes. Further, such
management have to distribute work capacity according to the functions of the individual reed lands. And the
conservations efforts have to be managed regardless of land ownership. By introducing unified management, the
abandoned area has been reduced by 2.3 ha, and the number of reed lands that are managed according to methods
suitable for their function, such as a land that requires hand cutting, has increased. Further, as a result of increasing
the upper limit of the workload has been increased by assuming that the number of volunteers will increase in the
future, the overall conservation efforts have improved, including additional func
