[98] An Analysis on the Local Environmental Factors Affecting Marriage and Birth Events by Living Place Biography
Keywords:marriage, birth, living place biography, hazard model
In this study, by conducting a web survey on an individual level related to marriage and birth, we obtained a living place biography, and analyzed it by associating it with data representing the characteristics of the place. As a result, an analysis of the relationship between the occurrence of marital events, the birth of the first child, and the birth of the second child and the population density of the living place before the event suggested that population density had a negative effect on the occurrence of the events. The results of the analysis using the hazard model suggested the possibility of influence of local characteristics in the place of birth on the marriage and the birth of the first child. Moreover, the effect of the density of childcare facilities for the second child was found positive.
