[8] Spatial Transition of the Passage Spaces of Station Buildings after Designation of the Urgent Redevelopment Areas in Central Tokyo

This paper attempts to clarify spatial transition of the passage spaces of station buildings after the designation of the Urgent Redevelopment Areas in the center of Tokyo in 2012 by analyzing of changes of the spatial construction and those continuity. Initially, the spatial construction of the constituent space with its collateral spaces and the pattern of spatial continuity of passage spaces are analyzed individually. Secondary, spatial transitions of those two aspects are analyzed by comparing the tendencies between 2012 and 2020. Finally, a characteristic of increasingly complex spatial transition of the collateral composition of passage spaces and a difficulty appearing those continuity in the Urgent Redevelopment Area until 2020 were isolated by deploying the above-mentioned data.
