[208] A Study on the development of equipment-duty car-park including small buildings

The regulation of equipment-duty car-park was revised to be able to apply the local parking rule. However, small buildings are exempt from the obligation, resulting in districts with insufficient parking. This study provides an overview of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's parking ordinance, organizing the issues of the system by building size. The number of parking spaces was calculated for districts with many small buildings and districts with a mix of large and small buildings. In addition, the parking situation in each district was illustrated. The results revealed that districts with many small buildings may not create enough parking spaces, which cannot be addressed by the current calculation method.
