[PS9-2A-3] Neonatal Seizures: Challenges in Diagnosis and Treatment
Seizures occur more frequently in the neonatal period than at any other time in life. Neonatal seizures are difficult to recognise clinically – Videos and EEGs will be presented to illustrate how underestimation and over-diagnosis may occur. Treatment of neonatal seizures is complicated: what to treat, what not to treat, with what to treat , is still being explored. The talk will address the challenges and new options in diagnosis and management of neonatal seizures.
