Approach to appropriate use of opioids by pharmacists

近年、米国ではオピオイドの不適正使用（乱用・麻薬依存）が蔓延し、2015年にはオピオイド過量摂取による死亡者が3.3万人を越えるなど、大変深刻な事態となった（オピオイドクライシス）。幸い国内ではそのような事態には陥っていないが、オピオイドの慢性痛への適応拡大が進む中、一層、オピオイド適正使用に向けた取り組みが求められる。本シンポジウムでは、オピオイドの適正使用に焦点をあて、米国オピオイドクライシスや国内でのオピオイド適正使用の現状について医師からお話し頂いた後、がん患者におけるオピオイドを含むポリファーマシーと薬剤師介入による減処方の現状とその効果に関する全国アンケート調査、および前向き観察研究の結果を報告するとともに、医薬品副作用データベース解析によるオピオイドの副作用、特に呼吸抑制や死亡といった重篤な副作用の変遷の解析結果などを報告する。オピオイド乱用や依存に興味を持つ薬剤師の本学会への参入の一助になればと考えている。
