[CS9] Injury, drowning, head trauma and prevention

　小児では「不慮の事故」が、いずれの年齢層においてもいまだに死因の第2～3位（2022年）を占めており、後遺障害を残すことも少なからずある。事故はアクシデント（accidents）ではなく、予防可能な傷害（preventable injuries）と考えられているものの、発生数の大幅な減少には至っていない。
　医療安全委員会では、それに関連するワーキング・グループ（WG）として、「保育・療育・教育機関におけるけいれん・てんかん児の発作・生活管理WG」と「頭部外傷におけるCT撮影基準の提言の作成WG」が活動中である。
　今回、NPO法人Safe Kids Japan理事長の山中龍宏先生より、小児の事故（傷害）と予防についてのご講演をいただき、事故発生の背景と要因を理解し知識をアップデートする機会とする。また、小児神経領域として各WG委員より、てんかん児の事故（傷害）と予防、頭部外傷の予防とCT撮影基準についての報告を予定している。
　本セミナーが、予防可能な傷害を負う小児が一人でも減ることに、少しでも寄与できることを強く期待したい。
