OHARA's Lithium Ion Conductive Solid Electrolyte LICGC ™ is a highly safe oxide-based solid electrolyte. It is insoluble in water, non- flammable, and has the unique property of allowing only lithium ions to pass through without allowing water or air to pass through, and can be handled in the atmosphere.
Since it has environmental performance and high ionic conductivity not found in other solid electrolytes, it has possibility to apply to next-generation lithium-ion batteries, next-generation capacitor electrolytes and separators, lithium-ion recovery technology from seawater, and other electrochemical devices.
In addition, by adding LICGC powder to the cathode of current lithium-ion batteries, the input / output characteristics and durability of the batteries have been improved, and improvements in low temperature characteristics have also been confirmed.
