The special session discussion is intended to provide for an open exchange of views about the safe system approach as it is applied to eliminate roadway deaths and severe injuries. This session will discuss how the five main elements that make up the safe systems approach - safe road users, safe vehicles, safe speeds, safe roads, and post-crash care can be brought together to positively enhance traffic safety. Topics may include the Safe System principle of shared responsibility and how we can all foster a culture that prioritizes safety.
