中止になった日本地質学会の巡検で観察ポイントに指定されていた坂井海岸には師崎層群豊浜累層上部基底砂岩と思われる地層が見られる。論文の記載に照らして、どの地層が上部基底砂岩に当たるのか、検討した。また、複数の鍵層となり得る地層を見いだし、周辺の地層との対比を試みた。
